Code Of Conduct

At Junior Midweek 7s, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and enjoyable football environment for everyone involved — players, coaches, referees, and spectators.

Our Codes of Conduct set out the standards of behaviour we expect from all participants to help ensure the game is played in the right spirit and with the wellbeing of young players at heart.

Please read and follow the code that applies to you:

🧒 Players - Code of Conduct

As a player in JM7's, I will:

  • Always play fairly and respect the rules.

  • Show respect to all referees, opponents, and team officials.

  • Be a good teammate – encourage others and include everyone.

  • Avoid the use bad language, bullying, or violence.

  • Accept wins and losses with respect and humility.

  • Arrive on time and ready to play.

  • Take pride in representing my team and my league.

  • Take responsibility for my behaviour on and off the pitch.

⚠️ If I break the Code of Conduct, I may receive a warning, be asked to sit out, or be suspended from matches.

👥 Team Officials (Managers & Coaches) – Code of Conduct

As a team official in JM7's, I will:

  • Prioritise player welfare, enjoyment, and development.

  • Lead by example – showing respect to referees, players, and parents.

  • Support the referee’s decisions – even if you disagree.

  • Never engage in shouting, confrontation, or abusive behaviour.

  • Complete and maintain valid DBS and safeguarding training.

  • Report any safeguarding concerns to the League DSO immediately.

  • Ensure players understand and follow the code of conduct.

 

⚠️ Breaches of conduct may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the league.

 
👪 Parents & Spectators – Code of Conduct

As a parent or spectator, I will:

  • Always encourage my child and others to enjoy the game.

  • Show respect to referees, coaches, league officials & players from both teams.

  • Let coaches do the coaching – I will not shout instructions.

  • Never use offensive or aggressive language on the side-lines.

  • Applaud effort and good play – from both teams.

  • Raise any concerns calmly and through the right channels.

⚠️ Poor behaviour may result in being asked to leave the venue or, in serious cases, removal of the team from the league.
